166: Vintage vibes, Time Capsule homes, and embracing the weird with Sarah Hidalgo
“Don’t be afraid of the weird!”
Sarah Hidalgo (@herstoryretold) is a vintage dealer, pro-thrifter, and collector of “all the cool things” currently living in Chicago with her husband, Albert, and hedgehog, Coconut. Sarah spent the first years of her adult life doing the “responsible thing,” like going to college and then working in corporate America in advertising for 15 years before finally jumping into her dream job of selling vintage in 2020. Sarah mainly sells mid-century era home goods; however, she loves novelty decor and also occasionally sells secondhand luxury goods. In her spare time, she’s thrifting, hitting up antique malls, as well as driving all over the Midwest looking for vintage treasures. She loves crafting, running, drinking iced beverages, true-crime podcasts, tropical vibes, and colorful fashion. Sarah and her husband are currently in the market for a mid-century time-capsule home to move into and decorate.
