153: From Farmhouse to Fine China with Lisbeth Lyons
“We will never run out of things. There are thrifting opportunities for generations!”
Lisbeth Lyons Black (aka @ThatPickinPixie) held her first solo yard sale at age nine, selling toys from a card table on the front lawn (in order to buy new toys, natch!). Since then, she’s resold clothing, bags, accessories, and now focuses primarily on reselling antique and vintage art and home decor picked at estate sales, auctions, and thrift stores. She is style agnostic and loves peddling (and educating others about) bygone treasures from Mid-Mod to Grand Millennial to Farmhouse and everything in between. Lisbeth is based in the nation’s capital, where she works as a government relations professional four days a week, with Fridays “off” to hit estate sales, of course! Lisbeth has been quoted in Worth magazine and regularly creates original social media content for her 23,000+ Instagram and Facebook followers.
