“When you get something at a thrift shop, you know it’s better built and it’s at a better price.”

Stewart White runs Franklin Hill Ventures, a Knoxville-area vintage and antiques business focused on matching great pieces with new homes (@franklin.hill.ventures). His path started in junior high selling Blow Pops, then sports-cards at the Nashville flea market in 1991, and eBay in 1998. After a family pause in the early 2000s, he returned in 2010, and formalized FHV in 2014. In September 2021, Stewart left his hospital IT career behind to focus full-time on reselling (although he still does some hospital IT consulting). He specializes in ephemera, books, glass, ceramics, and vintage collectibles, sourcing through estate and yard sales, auctions, thrift shops, and, most importantly, relationships that drive word-of-mouth finds. To smooth marketplace swings, he sells on eBay, Etsy, Mercari, Poshmark, Depop, Facebook Marketplace, District, and WhatNot; maintains antique booths at Granny’s Attic (since 2017), Bearden Antique Mall (2018), and West End Antiques (2022); and private labels preserves, butters, pickles, and salsas under the Franklin Hill Farms brand. He also co-hosts the Finders Flippers Resell Podcast with Wes from The Slim Flippers and Johnny from Frizzy's Finds.
